Christmas Day lunch near Clapham costs £60 to £130: 8 pubs in Clapham, Brixton, Oval and Streatham with 2026 prices, child rates, hours and booking terms.

For Christmas Day near Clapham, the Windmill on Clapham Common is the dearest (£130, with a glass of Nyetimber) and the Hope and Anchor on Acre Lane the cheapest (£60). The Abbeville and the Stonhouse both charge £88 for the same set menu, and Streatham has the Bull (£95) and Manor Arms (£88). Every entry was checked against the venue’s own site on 2 November 2026.

We have not eaten at any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry gives the 2026 Christmas Day price from the pub’s own menu, the child price where one is published, opening hours on the day and the booking terms, plus the Food Standards Agency hygiene rating from Lambeth Council’s inspections.

Six of the eight are Young’s pubs. Each sets its own price for the group’s three-course Christmas Day menu, with every main served with double egg Yorkshire pudding, goose fat roast potatoes, Brussels sprouts, crushed winter roots, maple roast parsnip and gravy. Young’s booking terms ask for the full menu price at booking, refundable up to 28 days before, menu choices by 1 December, and add a 12.5% service charge to every Christmas Day table. The other two, the Abbeville and the Stonhouse, belong to Three Cheers Pub Co. Christmas Day 2026 falls on a Friday, and there are no National Rail trains that day; our Christmas travel guide has the details.

Not in this guide, and why

The Bread and Roses on Clapham Manor Street says its Christmas menu will be published on its site but had not posted one on 2 November. The Great North Wood in West Norwood opens 12pm to 4pm on Christmas Day for drinks only, with no Christmas Day menu. The Dog House in Kennington lists a Christmas Day price only through a booking site, not on a site of its own, so we could not check it. Bistro Union on Abbeville Road has closed. If you run one of these and publish a 2026 price, tell us and we will add it.

How we chose

These are the pubs and restaurants in Lambeth’s SW2, SW4, SW8, SW9, SW16 and SE11 postcodes that publish a 2026 Christmas Day price on their own websites and hold a Food Standards Agency hygiene rating of 3 or more. Every price, child rate and opening time comes from the venue’s own Christmas page or menu PDF, read on 2 November 2026. The Young’s menu PDFs carry no year on the page, but their file details show they were made in May and June 2026 and each pub’s Christmas page lists its 2026 hours; the Three Cheers menus are dated 25 December 2026. Young’s payment and pre-order rules are from its Christmas booking terms. Hygiene ratings are from the FSA register. Prices and availability change as tables fill, so check with the pub before you book. Run a place that should be here, or spot something that has changed? Email newsdesk@claphamnews.co.uk. Taken a good photograph of any of these places? Email it to newsdesk@claphamnews.co.uk and we will add it with your name as the credit.
