Oktoberfest is on Clapham Common from 9 October and the Book Festival at Omnibus on the 17th. Plus 40 more dated listings, from Halloween to fireworks.
Two dates stand out in Clapham over the next six weeks. Oktoberfest on the Common opens on Clapham Common on Friday 9 October and runs over three weekends to the 24th. The Clapham Book Festival marks its tenth year at Omnibus Theatre on Saturday 17 October.
Around them sit the last weeks of the Lambeth Fringe, Black History Month in Brixton, half term and Halloween, then the fireworks weekend of 7 and 8 November and the Southbank Centre Winter Market from 2 November.
Every entry below was re-read on the organiser’s own page on 5 October 2026, except the Lambeth Fringe, whose site blocked us that day (its dates are from 29 September). Each entry links to that page, so check it before you set off. Prices are given only where the organiser publishes them. For places that are open all year, see our guide to things to do in Clapham.
Updated 5 October: last week’s events removed; added the Grand’s live podcast weekend, Halloween nights at the Grand and Venn St. Records, Eshu at the Crossroads for families at Brixton House, the Southbank Centre Winter Market and Julius Caesar Remixed at Omnibus.
